The HeartSine company’s defibrillator is an automatic or semi-automatic defibrillator, that is very easy to operate, that uses audio-visual instructions to guide the user in providing defibrillation and the remainder of the resuscitative treatment. The machine uses a unique method of transferring electrical current through a biphasic wave that moves in a straight line. After attaching the electrodes to the patient’s chest, the defibrillator monitors the patient’s heart rate, assesses the rate and determines whether or not the patient needs an electric shock.
